We took the plunge. Adam and I went to Best Buy to pick out our Kitchen appliances. We went with Frigidaire since they are rated well and were pretty much the cheapest option. We chose stainless steel (
NOT the stainless-look, that was fugly) because it looks nice and the black parts hopefully won't look as dirty as our current white appliances.
I really wanted a double oven, but they are soo expensive. But I am happy with the 5 burner stove, and being able to put tall things in the top rack of the dishwasher, and not having a leaky freezer.
They look much better than the old mismatched white appliances that are starting to show signs of breaking down.
Now we just have to wait until April 15 for everything to be delivered (the dishwasher was back-ordered until then and we decided to have everything delivered at the same time).
It'll be a different look but I can't wait.
Just discovered your blog, am also a domestic 25 years old (wife) living outside DC. SOOOO envious you get to pick out new kitchen appliances... we're in an apartment so not as many luxurious opportunities! happy cooking in your new space : )
